meet the doctors
Dr. Sulak attended California State University, Stanislaus as an undergraduate, then studied at Northwestern University where he received his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery). In 1991 he began practicing family dentistry in Modesto.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Sulak is active in Stanislaus Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and many local organizations.
Dr.Sulak is a member of the Input Study Club, a local dental organization comprised of general dentists and dental specialists. This organization meets monthly to study the latest techniques in dentistry and provides a forum for general dentist to share ideas with each other and dental specialists.
Dr. Sulak was born and raised in Modesto and is a graduate of Beyer High School. Away from work, he enjoys camping, fishing, skiing, and cycling. He is married to Dr. Crystal Sulak. She is also a practicing general dentist in Modesto. They have a son, Aidan.
Crystal is originally from Southern California. She received her B.A. from U.C. San Diego, with a double major in Biochemistry/Cell Biology and Psychology. She did research for the Salk Institute in La Jolla, CA for two years, before attending Northwestern University Dental School. She met John, her classmate, at Northwestern. They were married in John’s hometown of Modesto just three short months after both received their dental degrees. Crystal had her own practice in Modesto for 15 years before merging with John’s practice. She now works in the practice part-time, allowing her to spend more time involved with their son’s school activities. She is a past President of Soroptimist International of Modesto, past Recording Secretary and 6th grade parent representative of Lakewood PTA, and President of La Loma Jr. High PTA (2013-2014).
